I walked through the classrooms and saw lofts. I knew the Summit community understood the importance of play in the childhood experience and its vital connection with learning.

Watching the excitement and pride on a student's face as the 6-week famous American study culminates in the big speech!

The most important time of the school day for me is

Morning Meeting because it sets the tone for the day. The class is gathered on the rug sharing stories, listening to one another, and having fun.

What I wish my students knew

That making mistakes is a vital part of the learning process.
