Summit tennis played their final match of the season against North Davie Middle School today and it was an awesome way to end the season. Because of a sweep against the Tigers on Tuesday, we were able to give our lower-seeded players the opportunity to play singles and they did great! We had wins on all courts except court #1. Almost everyone took away 8-0 wins. A particularly exciting match came from Charlie on court #6 who came back from 3-5 to win the match 8-5. Our doubles teams were Tejus and Evan, John and Bouldin, and Marshall and Alex. We won on all three courts with scores of 8-0, 8-0, and 8-4 respectively. We won the match with a score of 8-1, but what was most excited was the parents and coach’s who commented that our players were great athletes, but had great sportsmanship as well. What a great way to end the season!

Boys tennis pulled out a great 9-0 win today away at North Davie this afternoon. Everyone was able to get on the court today and play either singles, doubles, or both. We are proud of the way that each player fought and took care of business, despite the hot temperatures! We are looking forward to playing them again at home on Thursday for our last match of the season.
Boys tennis played an awesome match at FCDS and won!! Even with the threat of rain and a lack of courts we came out on top with a score of 7-2. The most exciting match of the day was #2 doubles with Bouldin and John coming back and winning in a tiebreak with a score of 10-6. We dominated singles play with scores of 8-3 except for court #4 where Sidney stepped in to play for Bouldin but was still able to get 4 games on his opponent. It was such a fun match to watch and feels great to avenge an earlier loss to the Furies!
The Eagles tennis team had another awesome win at home this afternoon against South Davie Middle School. Since this team was mostly novice, we were able to let our 2nd half of the roster try their luck at singles and it went great! Our singles lineup was Alex, Sidney, Jack, Max, Devon, and Charlie. We took home wins on all courts but #1, which was a very close one finishing at 7-9. Another notable match was Sidney on court #2 who ended up winning 7-5 in a tie breaker. Our doubles teams were Marshall & John, Evan & Mark, and Jack & Alex. We won on courts #2 and #3, and finished out the match with a score of 7-2. Everyone had a great attitude and we were grateful for the flexibility and effort from all players!
