The Summit Varsity Golf Team went to Grandover Resort to play a tough Championship style golf course to end their season and finished second in a three team match. Wesleyan shot 158, Summit 162, and Calvary 174. Preston led the way for the Eagles in their final match of the season. He birdied his first hole and shared match medalist honors with a score of 38. Ford closed his season strong and shot 40 in his final round. Hayden continued his late season charge and finished with a 41. Will and Matt shot matching 43’s and Thomas shot 47. The Eagles completed their outstanding season with a record of 11-4 against tough, quality competition. I am proud of the way the team played throughout the season! Well done, Eagles!

The Summit Varsity Golf Team went to Oak Valley on a beautiful spring afternoon and defeated Davie County HS by a score of 146-167. Ford took his second straight medalist match honors by firing a 1 under par round of 35 which included back to back birdies on holes one and two. Hayden hit all 9 greens, made three birdies and three bogeys and shot an even par round of 36. Matt followed with two birdies and one bogey to shoot 37. Preston and Thomas shot matching rounds of 38 and Will finished his day with a 45. The Eagles improved to 10-3 on the season and will play their last match next Tuesday at Grandover.
The Summit Varsity Eagle Golf Team returned to the course after spring break on a beautiful sunny afternoon and defeated Mt. Tabor 152-163. Ford led the way with an even par round of 36, highlighted by a tap in birdie on number five and a fifteen foot eagle on number seven. Thomas birdied holes three and six and followed with a 38. Preston and Matt shot matching 39’s and Will shot 41. The Eagles improved to 9-3 on the season and will play again Wednesday afternoon at Oak Valley.
