Pinkball JV Girls Basketball
vs.
Canterbury School
Away
Loss 16-41

The JV Girls Basketball Team traveled to Canterbury School and lost 41-16. Every team may get to experience a game when they are always one step slow or when your passes aren't what they usually are. We had one of those games in Greensboro today. With a dismal start trailing 20-1, which included several time outs and personnel substitutions, our Lady Eagles dug deep and began to compete. We did some good things throughout the game, but with the difficulty of putting them together the score got away from us. We allowed too many rebounds, layups, and turned the ball over too easily. I am always proud of them, the way they work together, and how they compete. Scoring for Summit were the following players: Sienna had 7 points; Kristiana 5 points; and Victoria 4 points. We will have two home games next week on Thursday and Friday. It is great to be an Eagle because you grow with wisdom and get to soar.

Pinkball JV Girls Basketball
vs.
Salisbury Academy
Away
Loss 19-27
The JV Girls Basketball Team traveled to Salisbury Academy on Friday and lost 27-19. It was a hard fought game with several ties, lots of fouls and turnovers, and great effort from both teams. The Lady Eagles fell behind by 8 at the end of the first half. We were able to provide some great pressure and cut the lead down to 3 in the second, but late baskets and free throws from Salisbury iced the game. We had some chances throughout the game to score when we made good passes, but the ball did not go in today. Defensively we were aggressive and had some good steals and pressure on shots. I am always proud of how this group competes and carries themselves on the court. They always represent themselves, our team and Summit School with such high standards. Scoring for our Lady Eagles were the following players: Caroline and Sydney both had 5 points; Kristiana had 4 points; Ashley and Victoria had 2 points each; and Sienna had 1 point. We will continue to work on our shooting to try and convert some of these great shooting opportunities. We improve, we compete, and we grow as players and people. I look forward in getting back on the court with this group of players. They are a great team to coach and watch compete. GO EAGLES!!!

Pinkball JV Girls Basketball
vs.
Calvary Baptist Day School
Home
Loss 25-38

The JV Girls Basketball Team competed against Calvary Baptist and lost 38-25. The Lady Eagles started slow offensively and fell behind 10-0, which was a deficit we were unable to erase in today's competition. Our team fought, competed, and showed a lot of grit in the game. We played zone and man-to-man defense in the game, both had some success. I am always proud of the effort on the court of all the girls on the team. It is important to look at how you played and how your opponent played in the game. Calvary made a number of good passes and shots today. Our team also made some good passes and shots. We had five players score for our Lady Eagles today: Kristiana had 10 points; Caroline had 7 points; Victoria had 4 points; Ashley and Sasha had 2 points each. We continue to prove as a team and as individuals. We will take our team to Salisbury Academy tomorrow with a 4:00 start time. I am proud of this team and how they compete on the court. GO EAGLES!!!!
