The Summit Swimming Eagles swam in their final competition of the season on Tuesday, January 28 at the Kernersville YMCA. The meet followed a middle school course and Summit hosted Forsyth Country Day, Cornerstone, The Burlington School, Forsyth Home Educators, and Salisbury Academy. The team finished the night combined 4-1, with the boys and girls each closing their seasons 4-1, coming up short only to FHE. The girls placed 2nd in the 200 Free Relay, with individual support from Emelia M 2nd in the 200 Free and 3rd in the 100 Free, Anna H 2nd in the 100 IM and 3rd in the 100 Free, Annabelle P 1st in the 50 Fly and 2nd in the 100 Free, Kate S 3rd in the 50 Back, and Annabella V 3rd in the 50 Breast. Our boys placed 2nd in both the 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays. Josh V had 1st in the 50 Free, Mercer B placed 1st in the 50 Back and 2nd in the 50 Fly, Max M placed 1st in the 100 IM and 3rd in the 100 Free, and George P placed 2nd in the 50 Breast. We had 7 swimmers with 2 PRs for the night: Anna H, Kate S, Charlotte R, Nelson S, Tucker V, Riley P, and George P. We also had 12 swimmers with a single PR on the night: Lealand O, Mercer B, Catie M, Sarah S, Luke S, River K, Emelia M, Sophie P, Max, M, Anna H, Mary Grace I, and Adelaide M. GO EALGES!

Kristie joined Summit’s coaching staff as Head Swim coach in 2014. Her vivacious style and energy always produces amazing results with her students. Kristie is a Masters swimmer, a Summit parent and avid UNC fan.

Christine Storch began swimming year round for MAC (Mecklenburg Aquatic Club) in Charlotte, NC. She also swam in high school for Charlotte Catholic High School. Currently she slowly swims during the summer still enjoying the life long sport!
