Summit Summer 2018

Summit Summer offers a wide variety of enriching, challenging and fun day camps for three-year-olds to rising 10th graders. The program runs for seven weeks every summer and includes as many as seventy different options. Families may sign up for one week or as many as seven. Early morning and late afternoon care are available. And lunch is included!

The teachers are excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming. The classes are designed for personal attention with low student-teacher ratios. The facilities are outstanding.

The 2018 Summit Summer camp schedule will be available in late January. Registration opens in February.

To be added to our Summit Summer email list, please email Jeff Turner, Director of Co-Curricular Programs at jturner@summitmail.org.

See the tab below for Registration Policies and information about our Five-Camp Discount.

Registration Policies and Five-Camp Discount

FIVE-CAMP-SPECIAL expires April 1
Each family that registers for 5 or more camps at one time is eligible for a $100 discount on the total camp payment. All camps must be from one main account for children in the household. Registrations must be in the same cart in the same registration session. Enter the coupon code 5CD2018 when making payment. The five-camp-discount expires on April 1. BeforeCamp and AfterCamp are not eligible.

DEPOSIT
A 50% deposit is required for each camp. The deposit is non-refundable. Deposits are not transferable to siblings, other children or other accounts. Deposits cannot be refunded or transferred once received. The deposit represents a good-faith commitment to attend the camp. This allows Summit to hire staff and purchase supplies. The deposit is a partial payment towards the camp fee and is not in addition to the camp fee.

PAYMENT
Registration requires a debit card or credit card. If you choose to pay a deposit only, you will be charged automatically for the balance on May 11. If you do not select to pay a deposit, you will be charged for all fees at the time of enrollment. After May 11, the option to pay a deposit will no longer be offered, and the full fee will be required at the time of enrollment.

All Summit Summer charges are separate from regular Summit School accounts. Contact us at 336 722-2777 or summitsummer@summitmail.org if you have any payment questions.

CONFIRMATIONS
Email confirmations are sent upon the completion of registration and payment. If you do not receive a confirmation then the registration is invalid. Please contact us by email at summitsummer@summitmail.org if you are having problems with the registration system.

WAITING LISTS
All camps have enrollment limits. This assures campers the opportunity to experience a low teacher-student ratio. Our online registration system automatically develops a waiting list for full camps. There is no payment required for waiting lists. There is no obligation to accept a spot if it opens.

REFUND POLICY
Refunds requested at least two weeks prior to a camp's start date will be given, less the required deposit. No refunds are available within two weeks of a camp's start date. To remove a child from a camp, a parent must request the change in writing by email, fax, or letter. If no such request is made, parents are responsible for the total fee whether a child attends the camp or not. Payments (including deposits) associated with a parent-canceled camp may be transferred to a different camp for the same child, providing the dropped camp spot can be filled and there is space in another suitable camp. Deposits and fees are not transferable to siblings, other children or other accounts. Refunds or discounts are not given for camper absences. Please be aware of all expectations and requirements listed in camp descriptions. A child enrolled in a camp who does not meet expectations or requirements listed in the camp description will be removed from the camp with no refund.

Summit Summer Electronic Device Policy

Regardless of age, we do not allow the use of electronic devices, including phones, tablets, games and mp3 players.

  • If necessary for family communication, phones may be used before and after camp with the permission of a teacher.
  • Otherwise, they should be powered off and left in book bags during the camp day.
  • A teacher may make an exception if the device may be utilized for an activity under the supervision of the teacher.
  • Cell phones are generally not permitted on class trips. If circumstances on class trips warrant, guidelines will be provided by teachers for their limited use.
  • Devices may not be used during BeforeCamp or AfterCamp.
  • Summit is not responsible for the loss of any items.

Parents that need to reach their camper during the day should call the Summit Main Office at (336) 722-2777. The Main Office is able to reach any camp teacher on or off campus.
