Make a one-time or recurring gift here. 

Checks can be made out to Summit School and mailed to 2100 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. 

Gifts of appreciated securities provide significant tax savings for the donor by avoiding capital gains tax. Such gifts are also tax-deductible at the fair market value on the date of the gift. To avoid paying tax on the profit, you must give the security itself rather than selling it first and then giving the proceeds.

Please contact the Development office or call 336-724-5811 and provide:

• the name of the stock
• the number of shares you intend to transfer
• the approximate value of the stock
• the purpose of your gift 

We will then share with you the contact information for the institutions where Summit School has accounts, including Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and Stephens, Inc. By first alerting Summit School to the incoming shares, you ensure the gift can be sold immediately and credited to the appropriate donor. There is a chance that when gifts are sent directly to the broker, Summit is not informed by whom it was gifted.

If you are 70 ½ or older, a charitable gift transferred from your IRA will not be taxed. It can also satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD), maximizing the benefits to both you and Summit School. 

If you have a donor-advised fund or other charitable fund, you can direct a grant to Summit School. Please indicate the purpose of your gift when doing so, for example, by stating that the gift is for general support. 

Summit’s planned giving society, Patrons for Tomorrow, was established to recognize those who have made provisions for a planned gift to Summit School.
