Admission Process

Summit School seeks to admit qualified students of diverse backgrounds to create a distinct community of learners to fulfill Summit’s mission - to provide a challenging curriculum within a caring environment to help students develop their full potential. Interested in learning more? This is the typical path to becoming part of the Summit community.

  1. For admission to Early Childhood, Lower School or Upper School, contact Cindy Kluttz (admissions@summitmail.org) or phone 336-721-0540 ext. 1032. For admission to the Triad Academy division, contact Karen Pranikoff (kpranikoff@summitmail.org) or phone 336-722-2777 ext. 1508.

  2. Schedule a tour using the online appointment scheduler. (Note: this is turned off for the summer; contact Cindy Kluttz (admissions@summitmail.org). Tours for Triad division are scheduled directly through Karen Pranikoff, kpranikoff@summitmail.org.

  3. Apply to Summit. Applications are due January 31 for first-round consideration.

  4. Apply for financial aid. Financial aid applications are due December 31 for first-round consideration. 

  5. Schedule a student visit for your child.

  6. Admission and financial aid notification occur in mid-March.
