Fall Sports:

Today is Friday, September 3rd.  THERE ARE NO AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS TODAY.  All students in the Upper School will be dismissed at the 3:25 time.  Practices and games will resume on Tuesday, September 7th.  Have a great weekend.

Score Update:

The Varsity Soccer did very well for their second game.  Though we have had only 3 practices together, only one with everyone attending, the boys are coming together as a team.  They displayed good teamwork and effort in the 9-1 win over High Point Christian Academy.  Individual goals were scored by Jake M. and William H., two players registered Hat Tricks (3 goals each) Dylan R. and Jack O., but the highlight was a goal headed in beautifully by Walter S.  Congratulations team.

The Football team displayed great effort in the 54-6 loss to High Point Christian Academy.  Harrison D. returned an on-side kick for the Eagles only score of the day.  The team exhibited positive play in all three aspects of the game (offense, defense, and special teams), but was unable to display the consistency required in competition.  The team is energized to conitnue to improve.

The Varsity Volleyball team lost to High Point Christian 0-2.  The scores of the two games were 25-9 and 25-17.  The girls continued to show great effort and sportsmanship during the two matches.  A continued effort gives each member of the team an opportunity for improvement and the team a chance for maximum growth.

The Girls Tennis team lost 3-6 to Greensboro Day School.  All 12 players competed for Summit School in either singles or doubles.  The team competed well from top to bottom in their season opener.

The Cross Country team did great in their first meet of the year at Jamestown Park.  The distance was a 5K, which is 3.2 miles.  Gracie N-M finished first with a time of 23:08 and Chiedza M. placed second with a time of 23:31.  Despite the girls finishing one and two, the girls team could not place because they had only four runners.  Adam O. placed tenth with a time of 20:39 and Michael C. placed twenty-first with a time of 24:21.  The boys team placed third.  Congratulations to the team for such a great performance.
