Share
your original work and become part of a national initiative to encourage
writing. Congress declared October
20, 2009, as a National Day of Writing. The National Council of Teachers of
English has created an online gallery to showcase all of the ways that
Americans use writing in their daily lives.
Our
Summit gallery will display lists, poems, anecdotes, and stories that are
submitted by current and former students, parents, and staff. Submissions will
be accepted through the first week of February, 2010. Writing will be
uploaded after editing by Trish McRae, Summit Upper School resource specialist
and writing gallery curator. The edited submissions may be viewed through June
2010.
To
submit a piece of writing, please e-mail Trish McRae at mcraetrish@gmail.com. Only your first name will be printed, and no pictures
will be attached to your submission. Your submission with your first name is
your permission to publish.
