The JV Girls Basketball team defeated Forsyth Academy 22-18 in an overtime thriller. The team came together tonight defending well in the post and utilizing double teams on the opposing forwards from Forsyth Academy. Unselfish passing provided several great looks for the Eagles, allowing six members to aid in the 22 point total. Gracie led the way with 7 points, followed by Sarah with 6 points and Karis with 4 points. Other point contributors included Caroline, Madison, and Julia. It was great to see the team mature tonight as Forsyth Academy made a late run in the fourth quarter to tie the game at the end of regulation. The team did not panic going into the overtime. They stayed to the plan and executed. It was a great victory for the team. The JV Girls Basketball team competes away at Calvary Baptist Day School tomorrow, 1/27, with a 4:00 start time.
