Event Recap: The JV Girls Basketball team lost to Millennium Charter Academy 18-23 tonight. The half court press defense run by the Lady Eagles created a lot of turnovers and some great shot opportunities. Steals were made by Caroline, Nyla, Madison, Julia and Sarah. The 8th grade maturity of the MCA Lions was the difference in this match up. The Lady Eagles competed tough in the game, bringing the second half deficit to three points, but never able to take the lead. Madison lead the team with 7 points. Sarah added 4, while Caroline, Abra, and Nyla added points as well. The team competes on Thursday, 1/12, against Carter G. Woodson at Summit School with a 4:30 start time. |
