The Board of Trustees approved a Strategic Plan in 2005, and committees of the Board as well as faculty committees are implementing the following recommendations.

• Summit School will intensify its focus on academic excellence by increasing support for differentiated education in order to further meet the needs of both gifted students and students with learning differences.
• Summit School will promote its ethos by achieving a minority enrollment that is 20% of the student population and by providing 14% of students with need-based financial aid.
• Summit School will provide facilities to support its outstanding program by considering the addition of an Arts/Technology Building, a 2nd and 3rd grade classroom building, an athletic facility, and by creating an aesthetic continuity among its buildings.
• Summit School will provide financial resources to support excellence in all areas by increasing both the endowment and the Annual Fund goals.
